Why the little things matter for mental health

Something I was really skeptical about before I tried it was paying attention to ‘little things’. It’s amazing how making a conscious effort to notice small details around you can really change your experience of a situation. It’s really refreshing!

The impact of little things is also something that occurs when I treat myself to something, like a nice hot bath or some of my favourite food. I’m always surprised how something seemingly insignificant can really boost my mood. Of course, it doesn’t always work, I definitely have days where I feel crappy regardless. Nobody is happy all the time and we shouldn’t expect to be.
