Why it's okay to be proud of yourself.

So often we make progress, either in fitness or another area of our life, but we don’t take time to celebrate it. We tend to be so focused on the future and where we want to go that we don’t stop to appreciate how far we’ve come.

It’s so important to take time to celebrate wins, however small. It builds confidence and helps gain momentum to be able to keep going.

This is something I try to instill in all of my clients. Each time we check in we focus on what has gone well as well as what they want to work on in the weeks going forwards.

It’s often difficult when they start to come up with their wins but it gets easier as they go and sometimes they even volunteer them without me needing to prompt them at all. That is incredibly rewarding for me as a coach. I love to see when clients can be proud of their progress and all the work that enabled that to happen.
