What happens when you start intuitive eating
Using intuition means making decisions about food based on hunger, energy, emotions and the situation you are in. If you have been restricting for a long time, you may overeat. However, once you give yourself permission to eat the foods you enjoy when you want them, you don't have the desire to eat them frequently or in large amounts.
Nutrition matters and intuitive eating doesn't pretend otherwise. However, if you pay attention, you will find that you feel best eating healthy stuff most of the time.
Some days you will likely overeat, other days undereat. You sometimes might eat foods that don't feel good for you. All of this is fine. It doesn't mean you've messed up. Every decision is just an opportunity to learn.
