The truth about being bad

You are not a bad person for sometimes eating a lot of food. This has nothing whatsoever to do with morality. You don’t need to justify your food choices, either to yourself or others. They are yours alone to make and you should not feel guilt, judgement or anxiety about them.

It’s not easy to make choices about food, we are confronted with messages telling us what and how much to eat (or not eat). Along with the nagging voices in our own heads, this shit is hard.

When you are feeling bad about your food choices, I think it’s so important to remind yourself what really matters. In 20 years, you won’t give a fuck whether you ate that cookie or not.

Do what feels good now and move on. Spend your energy on stuff that matters. Time is the one resource we can never get back, so use it wisely.
