How to enjoy exercise when you hate it
I see so many people dragging themselves through workouts they hate because they belief that’s how they have to ‘do fitness’. There’s a lot of talk in the fitness industry about what’s optimal but if it’s not fun, what’s the point? I started working with a new client recently and he had an exercise bike lying around. We figured out early on that he didn’t really enjoy using it so we got rid of it ASAP. He felt so much better as he was then free to explore other forms of exercise that were actually fun. Move your body in a way that’s enjoyable for you, whatever that looks like. There are so many ways to work out, we don’t all need to be doing the same thing. If you don’t know what you like, try stuff. Take a new fitness class, go to the gym with a friend or go for a walk outside. You’ll soon find out whether it’s right for you or not.
