Do you have to love yourself to be happy and healthy?
I’m here to remind you that self acceptance is okay.
You are not a failure for not feeling like you can love yourself. It doesn’t mean you are doomed to be miserable. Self love is awesome but I think it’s unrealistic (and unhelpful) to expect everyone to get to that place.
What is important is treating yourself with kindness. That means eating and moving in a way that makes you happy, whatever that looks like for you.
What I find with my clients is that when they focus on being happy, other things fall into place. They eat in a healthy and balanced way, they exercise in a way that is enjoyable and they become more appreciative of what their bodies are able to do.
