Diet mentality vs healthy mentality



Food is just food but it doesn't always seem that way. ‘Treat’ foods in particularly can have such power over us, making us feel anxious, guilty and as something we need for compensate for afterwards. It doesn't have to be that way though! Food doesn't have to control our lives. It is possible to get to a place where we can enjoy the foods we like, rather than it being a big deal. I've been on both sides of this so understand that this is not an easy mindset to navigate. However, it is possible. Keep practising eating foods that you enjoy regularly and it will get easier each time. Don’t beat yourself up if you feel guilty or anxious sometimes, old patterns are hard to break. The key thing is to remember that you don’t have to change your behaviour because of how you feel. You can accept it and just carry on.
