Within the fitness industry, there is a big emphasis on body composition goals and often the non-body composition stuff gets forgotten about. Even if your main goal is body composition related, these changes happen very slowly so it's important to have other things to focus on. Here are 3 fitness wins not based on how you look:⠀ 1. Getting stronger: Gaining strength is really empowering. Whether that's more reps at the same weight, lifting a heavier weight or even getting better at body weight stuff, it's all good! This is why tracking your workouts can be so helpful as you can easily see yourself getting stronger over time. 2. Reduced stress: Mental wins are just as (if not more) important than physical wins. Exercise can be a great way to help us feel more relaxed. There are so many types of exercise so you can try different activities to find what works best for you. Personally, I love dancing and yoga for de-stressing. ⠀ 3. More energy: Exercising regularly can help you feel more energised. This is because of the increase in heart rate, additional blood flow and endorphins released. This happens even after just a short exercise session so it can be a great way to get a boost if you’re feeling sluggish.
